Dr. David Wallis earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology magna cum laude from UCLA before completing medical school at UC San Diego. He finished his internship and residency in Family Medicine at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center, then went on to complete a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine. He holds board certification in Family Medicine and a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Wallis spent nearly two decades practicing in the South Bay before founding Beach Cities Medicine in 2022. During his career he served as team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers, LA Galaxy, Chivas USA, the US National Soccer Team, the Ontario Reign hockey team, and All-American Heavyweights Boxing. He has published over a dozen academic journal articles and book chapters and serves as an expert reviewer for the Medical Board of California. Outside medicine he is an endurance athlete who has completed the Boston Marathon, multiple Ironman triathlons, and ultra-endurance cycling events. He lives in Hermosa Beach with his wife and four children.
