Dr. David N. Eames grew up in Hampton Roads, Virginia, and earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Old Dominion University, graduating magna cum laude. During his time at Old Dominion, he volunteered at Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. He also worked at a local YMCA, where he met his wife, Christina.
In 2016, the couple moved to Blacksburg so Dr. Eames could attend the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke. He chose that program deliberately, building relationships with the pediatric subspecialists who serve patients across Southwestern Virginia. His clinical expertise spans newborn care, acute and chronic illness, asthma, allergies, ADHD, sports injuries, developmental and behavioral concerns, and mild-to-moderate chronic psychological conditions. Outside of medicine, he enjoys hiking and outdoor activities with his family throughout Southwest Virginia.
