Dr. Daniel Wohlgelernter, M.D., earned his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. He completed his internship, residency, and a fourth year as chief medical resident in Internal Medicine at Yale Medical Center. His cardiology training also took place at Yale. After two years on the Yale medical school faculty, he joined the UCLA faculty in 1985.
Dr. Wohlgelernter holds board certification in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. His clinical interests center on preventive cardiology, lipid disorder management, hypertension, and the noninvasive management of arrhythmias. He has authored numerous journal articles and textbook chapters on the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. He received the Thomas L. D. prize for excellence in teaching from the Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center Family Practice Residency Program.
