Dr. Ostrander manages a wide range of conditions across all age groups. He treats chronic diseases including diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and thyroid problems. He also handles weight management, wound care, urgent care needs, and in-office procedures. Upon request, he offers hormone therapy optimization, medical weight loss management, male pattern hair loss treatment, and sexual dysfunction treatment.

Dr. Ostrander earned his DO degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He also holds an MBA and has specialized clinical training in hospice, palliative care, and advanced wound care.

Dr. Ostrander practices full-spectrum family medicine and has done so since 2010. He trained at the University of Kansas Medical Center and built extensive clinical experience across both inpatient and outpatient settings before founding Summit Family Care.

Yes. Dr. Ostrander provides care for patients of all ages, from pediatrics through geriatrics. He has delivered comprehensive family medicine across the full age spectrum throughout his career since 2010.

No. Summit Family Care does not prescribe chronic opioids, benzodiazepines, or stimulants for adult ADHD. Dr. Ostrander does treat appropriate pediatric patients with stimulants when qualified testing supports it. Patients who currently require these medications may still enroll and receive care for other health concerns.

Dr. Ostrander holds active membership in the Missouri State Medical Association, the national DPC Alliance, and the Midwest Direct Primary Care Alliance. These affiliations reflect his ongoing engagement with the direct primary care community at both the state and national level.

Dr. Ostrander has lived in Lee's Summit since 1997 and has practiced full-spectrum family medicine since 2010. He founded Summit Family Care in 2017, building the practice specifically to serve the Lee's Summit and South Kansas City community.
