About
Dr. Christopher Donohoe brings over 20 years of pediatric experience to his role as Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer at Donohoe Pediatrics. His academic path began with a BS in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame and an MS in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois, where he worked as an engineer before pursuing medicine. He earned his MD from Northwestern University School of Medicine in 2001, earning induction into Alpha Omega Alpha, and completed his pediatric residency at Children's Memorial Hospital, now Lurie Children's Hospital, in 2004. He holds a faculty appointment at Lurie Children's Hospital and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine.
Early in his career, Dr. Donohoe spent four years as the sole pediatrician serving an underserved clinic in Milwaukee through the National Health Service Corps. There, he rebuilt a struggling vaccination program and launched a book donation initiative for families. He spent eight subsequent years in private practice in Chicago before founding Donohoe Pediatrics in 2016. He firmly believes that a thorough history and a comprehensive physical exam remain the foundation of excellent care. Outside medicine, he enjoys reading, building furniture, and spending time with his wife Joy and their three children in North Center.
