Dr. Chaylah Lomotey is a board-certified family practice physician with a medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She simultaneously earned a Master of Public Health degree during her medical training. She completed her family medicine residency at Valley Baptist Family Practice in Harlingen, Texas.

Born in Connecticut, Dr. Lomotey spent much of her childhood in Texas and returned to the state to build her career. After residency, she worked as an immigration doctor and later at a rural family medicine clinic. She then spent nearly a decade serving the New Braunfels community in urgent care before founding Thrive Direct Primary Care. Her international experience includes mission work in Romania, public health research in Haiti, and medical mission work in Ghana. She is passionate about complex chronic conditions, nutrition, and preventive care. Outside of medicine, she homeschools her children and spends time with her husband and family, enjoying walking, God's natural world, and her local church.
