Dr. Brian Hanna earned his Medical Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2001. He then completed a three-year Family Medicine residency at AnMed Hospital in Anderson, South Carolina. He holds board certification in Family Medicine and has practiced in the Carolinas for more than two decades.
Dr. Hanna began his clinical career in 2004 serving patients in Georgetown and Murrells Inlet across two hospitals and a busy outpatient clinic. In 2006, he relocated to Hartsville and spent five years working at an outpatient Family Medicine clinic in Darlington. He then spent thirteen years as a full-time Medical Director at Hope Health in Florence before opening Freedom Family Care in June 2023. He became the first family medicine physician to bring the Direct Primary Care model to Florence. Dr. Hanna specializes in primary care, medical weight loss, and hormone replacement therapy. He believes patients make better health decisions when their doctor presents clear data and research. He and his wife Kimberly share a family and serve the Pee Dee region of South Carolina together at Freedom Family Care.
