About

Dr. Becky Peebles founded Trailhead Med to deliver thorough, relationship-driven care to patients of all ages in Tyler, Texas. She earned her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and her medical degree from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. C.

Dr. Peebles spent eight years as an active-duty Air Force physician before transitioning to academic medicine. She served as faculty at Offutt Air Force Base and with the University of Nebraska Medicine Family Medicine Residency programs. At UT Health East Texas, she helped establish the Sports Medicine Department and directed its Sports Medicine Fellowship. She also served as Associate Professor of Medicine at UT Tyler Medical School and as Team Physician for UT Tyler Athletics from 2021 to 2025. Her current event roles include Medical Director for Running the Rose Ultramarathon, Clinical Director for Special Olympics Area 7, and Assistant Chief Physician for the Ironman World Championships. Dr. Peebles holds board certification in Family Medicine, a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine, and Fellowship status in the American Academy of Family Physicians. She is passionate about osteopathic medicine, medical acupuncture, lifestyle approaches to chronic disease, and regenerative procedures like PRP and prolotherapy. Outside medicine, she is an endurance runner, triathlete, and outdoor enthusiast. She and JT are the parents of four children.
