Dr. Barry Nahin grew up in Southern California and decided in high school that medicine was his calling. He earned his undergraduate degree in pre-med at the University of California San Diego, then attended George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Northridge Hospital Medical Center, affiliated with the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. The program recognized him with both the Best Resident Award and the Residency Award of Excellence.
Shortly after residency, Dr. Nahin drove cross-country with his wife and young daughter to begin his career in Montgomery County, Maryland. Over 18 years there, he grew his practice to multiple providers across three office locations. He holds board certification in Family Medicine and keeps his knowledge current through ongoing continuing medical education.
