About
Dr. Austin Martin grew up in Flanagan, IL, on a family farm about 30 miles south of Ottawa. He attended the University of Illinois in Champaign from 2007 to 2011, where he found his Catholic faith and met his wife Maggie at St. John's Catholic Newman Center. He then earned his medical degree from Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University Chicago, graduating in 2015. His residency in Family Medicine followed at St. Joseph Medical Center in Mishawaka, Indiana, where he trained broadly across OB, pediatrics, and internal medicine from 2015 to 2018.

He now holds certification as a Medical Consultant in NaPro Technology, a system developed at Creighton University Medical Center. He treats fertility and women's health conditions including PCOS, endometriosis, recurrent miscarriage, and ovulation disorders. After residency, he spent six years at OSF Healthcare in multiple leadership roles, delivering primary care, inpatient pediatric and nursery care, and fertility services. He founded Holy Family DPC to pursue medicine as a vocation, emphasizing curiosity, frank conversation, and genuine physician-patient relationships. He and Maggie are active members of the Ottawa Catholic Community and parents to five children.
