Dr. Anita Maybach has practiced medicine in Warrenton, Virginia for over 30 years. She grew up in the Medico-Dental building watching her parents, Drs. Eric and Georgian Maybach, care for their Fauquier County patients. That upbringing shaped everything about how she practices today.
Dr. Maybach earned dual bachelor's degrees in Biology and English from Virginia Tech in 1993. She went on to complete her Doctorate of Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1998. She trained in emergency medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania, finishing her residency in 2001. Decades later, she returned to Geisinger for a fellowship in hospice and palliative care, completing it in 2022. She also holds certification as a Biomedical Ethics Consultant. She serves on Virginia's Board of Local and Regional Jails and Virginia's Maternal Fetal Mortality Board. She holds membership in the American Association of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and the American College of Emergency Physicians. ' That philosophy has guided her clinical work ever since. Outside the office, she enjoys cooking, gardening, literature, travel, crocheting, and table top games with family.
