Dr. Alhumaid's path into geriatric medicine began personally. Her grandmother's Alzheimer's diagnosis during Dr. Alhumaid's teenage years sparked a lasting commitment to elder care. Her mother's Parkinson's diagnosis deepened that commitment further. She believes strong doctor-patient relationships start with listening carefully and learning from each patient. She uses evidence-based practices to build individualized care plans tailored to each patient's health goals. Born and raised in Washington, DC, she relocated to Oregon in 2011. She lives in Lake Oswego with her husband, three children, and her mother.
