Dr. Achillefs NtranosMD

Neurology

at Achilles Neurology Clinic — Beverly Hills, CA

About

Dr. Achillefs Ntranos grew up in Athens, Greece, in a family of biologists. Medicine drew him early, and a deeply personal experience deepened that pull: when his father received a lung cancer diagnosis, Dr. Ntranos committed himself to delivering care that treats the whole person, not just the condition.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Athens Medical School, then moved to the United States to join the neuroimmunology and multiple sclerosis research team at Johns Hopkins University. His neurology residency and fellowship in MS and demyelinating diseases took place at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where his peers and faculty selected him as Chief Resident. He later held an appointment as Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In 2022, he founded Achilles Neurology Clinic in Beverly Hills. Dr. Ntranos holds board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and belongs to the American Academy of Neurology. His clinical interests include neurogenetics, neuropsychological assessment, the gut-brain axis, lifestyle factors in neurological health, and the neurological effects of Long COVID. He is passionate about small fiber neuropathy, MS treatment, and the intersection of lifestyle and brain health. National MS Society Momentum Magazine, MDedge Neurology, and Healthline have all featured his work.
